The Fantasy in C minor is a work written by the German composer Louis Spohr in the 19th century. It is one of many pieces by this artist, who was known not only as a composer but also as a violinist and conductor. Spohr began his career as a young talent, gaining recognition for his virtuosity on the violin. Later, he focused on writing music, creating many diverse works. The performance variant of this piece presented in the recording is exceptional and interesting. Zuzanna Olbryś, a talented harpist, performs the Fantasy in C minor brilliantly. The recording was made at AM Katowice, a well-known and respected music institution that has been promoting young talents and organizing various musical events for years. It is pleasing that Zuzanna Olbryś had the opportunity to record her exceptional interpretation in this prestigious place. The Fantasy in C minor is an example of a work from the Romantic era, which was characterized by emotionality and the exploration of new musical forms. Composers from this period often experimented with different sound colors and compositional structures, which is also evident in this piece. One can conclude that Louis Spohr was not only a recognized composer but also a versatile artist. Thanks to artists like Zuzanna Olbryś, who bring his works to life anew, we can appreciate the beauty and value of these compositions. We are therefore grateful for the creation of this recording and the opportunity to discover the talent of Zuzanna Olbryś and the music of Louis Spohr.
It is amazing how beautifully Zuzanna Olbryś plays the harp! Her performance of Louis Spohr's "Fantasy in C minor" is absolutely delightful. I am impressed by her skills and professionalism.
