Currently in Poznań, the XIV International Violin Competition named after H. Wieniawski is taking place. This is traditionally the most important musical event in Poland... when the 'Chopin Competition' is not being held. But are violins, not something more 'sensitive' than pianos? - a more important creation?
Established in 2003 at the initiative of instrumentalists collaborating with the New Chamber Orchestra and Warsaw Camerata. The group consists of graduates of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw: Emilia Walasek-Gorczyca - 1st violin, Monika Kos-Nowicka - 2nd violin, Ewa Rybarczyk - viola
A graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he studied under the guidance of Prof. Bogusław Madey. He also participated in conducting courses led by Sir Colin Davies and Jerzy Salwarowski.

The finals of the piano competition were amazing! Young musicians showcased immense skills and passion for playing the piano. The performances were full of emotion and dynamics. Seong-Jin Cho from South Korea was breathtaking, and Aljoša Jurinić from Croatia continues to surprise me with his technique. Aimi Kobayashi from Japan had incredible expression in her playing, and Kate Liu from the USA impressed with her good interpretation. The fantastic orchestra under the baton of Jacek Kaspszyk created a wonderful atmosphere. It was an unforgettable evening full of music!
