Opium String Quartet (O.S.Q) was formed in the spring of 2004. Just under three months later, they made their debut at the summer festival in honor of Jerzy Waldorf in Radziejowice, receiving enthusiastic reviews.
The son of the esteemed violinist Giovanni Battista Vivaldi was born in Venice in 1678. At the age of 25, he was ordained as a priest and became known as the "red priest". He became a violin teacher at the Hospital of Mercy and a conductor of the orchestra in Venice, which was highly renowned at that time.

Spring, one of the four violin concertos, Op. 8 by Antonio Vivaldi, is not only a masterpiece of Baroque music but also one of the most well-known and popular works in history. The Italian composer, also known as "The Red Priest," revolutionized music with his works, establishing the foundations of the solo concerto. Spring is the first part of the cycle "The Four Seasons," which consists of four concertos describing different aspects and moods of each season. The performance by Jeanne Lamon and the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra is exceptional and fully captures the beauty and energy of this piece. Wow, that was an incredible performance of Vivaldi's Spring! The Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Jeanne Lamon are incredibly talented. This music makes me think of beautiful, colorful, and joyful spring right away. It's like we were transported to a garden full of flowers and birds singing. Although it's a classical piece, I feel that young people can appreciate it too. It's the perfect melody to start a day full of positive energy. I highly recommend this Vivaldi to all young music lovers!
