This German composer, born in Zwickau in 1810, is one of the typical representatives of Romanticism in music. He was the son of a bookseller, so from an early age he was connected with literature to such an extent that at a certain stage of his life he hesitated between this field of art and music.
The spring concert of the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw is a meeting with three composers of the Romantic era, who – each in their own way – broke the boundaries of musical form and expression.

Robert Schumann was a German composer, known primarily for his piano music. His Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54, is one of the most famous and highly regarded works of this genre. It was composed in 1841 and reflects the typical romantic expression and passion characteristic of Schumann.
