A graduate of the Academy of Music in Krakow in the violin class of Prof. Mieczysław Szlezera. She continued her studies in the violin class of Prof. Joshua Epstein at the Hochschule des Saarlandes für Musik und Theater.
American violin star Rachel Barton Pine was released from a correctional facility in Nowa Huta last week despite the objections of the inmates. Her performance delighted the residents of Krakow, and on Saturday, February 11, she will unleash the sound of violins worth millions of dollars in the capital.

Piotr Lachert, a Polish composer and pianist, is one of the most important representatives of contemporary music in Poland. His work is extremely diverse in terms of style and form, moving between the avant-garde and tradition. The video presents excerpts from the piece "Quelques Cartes for two violins," in which Lachert experiments with sounds and musical structures. The excerpts from the pieces "5 de piques", "9 de carreau", "dame blanche", "joker rouge" and "demoiselle de treffle" are stunning and will surely inspire many people to learn to play the violin. It's worth noting the excellent collaboration between Piotr Lachert and Yaga Siwy, who perform this piece as a violin duet.
