Piotr Lachert, a Polish composer and pianist, is one of the most important representatives of contemporary music in Poland. His work is extremely diverse in terms of style and form, moving between the avant-garde and tradition. The video presents excerpts from the piece "Quelques Cartes for two violins," in which Lachert experiments with sounds and musical structures. The composition consists of five parts: "5 de piques," "9 de carreau," "dame blanche," "joker rouge," and "demoiselle de treffle." Each of these parts represents different cards from a deck, which may suggest not only an inspiration from playing cards but also references to the symbolism and metaphor of these specific cards. In the performance by Andrzej and Yaga Siwych from 1984, the piece sounds incredibly expressive. The exceptional playing technique and interpretation of these talented violinists further enhance the emotions that Lachert intended to evoke. It is worth noting that Lachert often collaborated with other artists and performers, creating new, fascinating connections between music, theater, and performance. "Quelques Cartes" is an excellent example of how contemporary music can combine tradition with the avant-garde, creating a new, original quality of sound and emotion. This work is undoubtedly a valuable contribution to the field of contemporary music and fits into the rich history of Polish art. I encourage you to explore other works by Piotr Lachert and discover his fascinating musical world.

The excerpts from the pieces "5 de piques", "9 de carreau", "dame blanche", "joker rouge" and "demoiselle de treffle" are stunning and will surely inspire many people to learn to play the violin. It's worth noting the excellent collaboration between Piotr Lachert and Yaga Siwy, who perform this piece as a violin duet. If you are a lover of classical music, you will definitely appreciate this film. I highly recommend it to all young music lovers!
