A graduate of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, in the piano class of Ekaterina Popova-Zdron and Zbigniew Śliwiński.
Distinctive, dark voice, excellent presence, and style are the characteristics that have brought this Russian soprano to the top. Born in 1971 in Krasnodar, Anna Netrebko began her career by cleaning at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, where she was quickly noticed by conductor W. Gergiev and made her debut at the age of 22 in the role of Susanna in Mozart's 'The Marriage of Figaro'. After a successful start, the artist performed at the Kirov Opera, embodying roles such as Amina in Bellini's 'La Sonnambula', Pamina in Mozart's 'The Magic Flute', and Lucia in Donizetti's 'Lucia di Lammermoor'.
