In this video, we have the opportunity to hear the piece "Madrigal" by Philippe Gaubert, performed by Kamila Ficner on the flute and Aleksandra Krzanowska on the piano. This piece references the form of the old madrigal era, characterized by delicate, lyrical melodies. Philippe Gaubert, a French composer and violinist, was renowned as a conductor and educator. His work is marked by vivid melodies and excellent compositional technique. In this piece, there is a clear balance between the flute and piano parts. Kamila Ficner, a talented flutist, conveys deep emotions and the delicate sound of the flute, thus showcasing the artistry of interpreting this piece. This, in turn, allows Aleksandra Krzanowska, an outstanding pianist, to provide support and dialogue with the solo instrument. "Madrigal" is an excellent opportunity to showcase the skills of both artists. The concert, of which we are watching an excerpt, took place in the concert hall of ZPSM in Bielsko-Biała. This venue is known for its excellent acoustics, which translates into exceptional sound quality in this performance. This piece is not only a tribute to the memory of Magda Kania but also an excellent example of chamber music, where each instrument plays an essential role.
It was an amazing concert! Kamila and Aleksandra created a beautiful, emotionally rich interpretation of Philippe Gaubert's piece. Their performance was excellent, and the flute and piano complemented each other perfectly. This melody deeply penetrated my heart and truly allowed me to escape from everyday life. Additionally, this concert had exceptional significance as it was dedicated to the memory of Magda Kania. I wholeheartedly thank you for such a wonderful performance and the moments we received that evening. The musicians, as always, gave their all!
