Currently in Poznań, the XIV International Violin Competition named after H. Wieniawski is taking place. This is traditionally the most important musical event in Poland... when the 'Chopin Competition' is not being held. But are violins, not something more 'sensitive' than pianos? - a more important creation?
The 'Man with the Golden Flute' was born in Belfast in 1939. He began his musical career as a child playing the flute, and at the age of just 10 he won a music competition in his hometown.
On Thursday, February 9, visual and musical art will come together at the University Children's Hospital in Krakow-Prokocim. American violin virtuoso Rachel Barton Pine will judge the competition "Paint Music"...

The video features a young artist, Naomi Druskic, who participated in the Chopin Competition in Singapore. I am impressed by the skills and talent of this gifted composer at such a young age. It is evident that she has great musical predispositions and wonderful performance abilities. Naomi Druskic performed two compositions: "Nocturne" in C-sharp minor, op. posth, and "Nocturne" in B minor, op. 9 no. 1. Both pieces are part of the repertoire of Fryderyk Chopin, one of the greatest composers in the history of music. The choice of pieces showcases the versatility of the artist and her ability to reference different musical eras. It is worth noting that Naomi is only 12 years old, which makes her performance even more exceptional. Her ability to interpret such difficult pieces at such a young age is incredible. This speaks to her extraordinary determination, hard work, and dedication to music. The Chopin Competition is a prestigious event that attracts talented musicians from all over the world. Participating in such a competition requires immense knowledge, experience, and technical mastery.
