MoNo Guitar Duo is a Polish-Italian guitar duo from Rome. Anna and Giuseppe met in 2010 during their master's studies at the Conservatorio "Santa Cecilia", but the idea of founding MoNo Guitar Duo came to them only in 2017.

Manuel M. Ponce was a Mexican composer who lived from 1882 to 1948. He was one of the most important composers of his country and is considered a precursor of Mexican musical modernism. His work was mainly associated with classical and romantic music, but also included elements of Mexican folklore. "Concierto del Sur" is one of Ponce's most important works, written in 1942. It is a concerto for guitar and orchestra, with the third movement titled "Allegro Moderato e Festivo." This light and lively piece expresses joy and dynamism. Its characteristic feature is the beautiful melodies that intertwine and harmonize in alternating guitar sections. This recording features the guitar duo Marcin Dylla and Dariusz Kupinski. Marcin Dylla is a Polish classical guitarist who has won numerous awards at international guitar competitions. His interpretation is full of technical brilliance and poetic devotion to the piece. Dariusz Kupinski, also a Polish guitarist, made the transcription and adaptation of the work for the guitar duo. An important part of this recording is the fantastic connection between Dylla's solo performance and Kupinski's guitar accompaniment. Their playing is perfectly synchronized, and the interpretation is marked by a full understanding and devotion to the character of the piece. This recording represents an excellent presentation of both Ponce's talent and the guitar skills of Dylla and Kupinski. Their interpretation conveys full enthusiasm and energy, making the listener literally transported into a world of sounds. "Concierto del Sur" is an extraordinary recording that certainly deserves high recognition.
It was an amazing performance! Marcin Dylla and the Kupinski Guitar Duo showcased extraordinary guitar playing skills. I love the way they were able to transport us into the world of Ponce and his Concierto del Sur. You could feel the energy and passion they put into their music. Dariusz Kupiński's arrangement was phenomenal, adding a new dimension to this piece. The entire work was filled with wonderful melodies and magical sounds of the guitar. I was completely mesmerized by their playing. This is exactly why I love classical music!
