In 2005, the Kronos Quartet, an American string quartet, is regarded as one of the most important performers of contemporary music. The group was founded in 1973 by Wiaczesław Artiomjew and consists of four talented musicians – David Harrington, John Sherban, Hankiweedu Luneta, and Sunny Yang. Throughout their career, they have gained recognition among both critics and listeners, performing works that are both classical and modern.
