The word symphony comes from the Greek words syn- and phone, which the Greeks used to define concepts related to 'harmony'. Since the 18th century, this term began to be used in relation to a musical form mainly derived from the sonata, but also from the prelude, suite, and overture.
Initially, he played classical guitar - he studied under A. Kowalczyk in Łódź (diploma in 1979) and J. Tomas in Alicante, Spain, 1980-81. Since 1983, he has specialized in early music playing historical plucked instruments - lute, theorbo, and 19th-century guitar.
It is a short, usually without a specific internal structure, work that can serve as an introduction to subsequent parts of a larger and more complicated work.

This video is a true feast for the ears and, of course, for the soul. Bach wrote this suite so beautifully, and John Williams performs it with true talent and passion.
