The only strictly family, professional string quartet in the world. It consists of father - cellist Wojciech Walasek and his children - violinists Emilia and Wojciech and violist Kamil. The deep musical traditions in the Walasek family date back to the 18th century.
Established in 2003 at the initiative of instrumentalists collaborating with the New Chamber Orchestra and Warsaw Camerata. The String Quartet in E minor "From My Life" by Bedřich Smetana is one of the most famous and cherished chamber works in the history of music. This piece makes me feel like I've been transported to another dimension. I can't take my ears off it! I feel the emotions flowing from every sound that stimulates my senses. The performance by the Moyzes Quartet is incredibly energetic and passionate. The captivating rhythm and combination of strings make my whole body move along with the music. I am in awe of the skills of these artists who can so perfectly convey the emotions of this composition. This is one of those works that will stay with me forever. Kudos to the Moyzes Quartet for such a wonderful performance!
