The project "In Meadows and Chamber" is a fascinating combination of traditional folk music of the Highlanders with the works of Fryderyk Chopin in a chamber version. This project allows us to look at the roots of Chopin's creativity and how important folk motifs were to him. Performed by the artists of LASON ENSEMBLE and Mikolow City Chamber Players, we get a unique opportunity to hear these motifs in a new light. Piotr Sałajczyk on piano, Krzysztof Lasoń and Agnieszka Lasoń on violins, Elżbieta Mrożek-Loska on viola, and Stanisław Lasoń on cello present Chopin's works to us in an intimate atmosphere. It is worth noting that this form of presentation was close to the composer himself. Chopin often played his pieces in chamber halls, where they could find their place and be appreciated for their subtle beauty. Additionally, the project "In Meadows and Chamber" also shows us the beauty of the folk music of the Highlanders. The WAŚASI&LASONIOWIE ensemble, consisting of Zbigniew Waśch on violin, Jan Kaczmarzyk on viola and bagpipes, Robert Waszut on double bass, and Krzysztof Lasoń and Stanisław Lasoń on violins and cello, performs traditional folk melodies that undoubtedly influenced Chopin. This project transports us into the magical world of Chopin's music, where folk melodies intertwine with the composer's masterpieces performed in a chamber form. It invites us to journey through an extraordinary world of music that draws from roots, traditions, and history. It serves as inspiration to discover and understand the creativity of one of the greatest composers in the history of music.
This project is a true feast for music lovers and fans of Fryderyk Chopin. By traversing the folk melodies of the Gorals, we open the doors to the roots of this great composer's creativity. At the same time, classical artists present his works in an intimate chamber setting, just as Chopin himself did. It is a true journey through the world of music, providing wonderful sound and emotional experiences. LASON ENSEMBLE and WAŚASI&LASONIOWIE bring their extraordinary musical skills to this project, creating unforgettable and magical performances. Highly recommended!
