The combination of neoclassical sounds, sounds from space recorded by NASA, and electronic effects forces us to do only one thing. With closed eyes, listen tenderly and ... fly.

The beginning of this era in music is considered to be the end of the 16th century, and the end of this period is marked by the death of Johann Sebastian Bach (1750). "Decomposing Composers - Monty Python Sings" is an incredibly funny and somewhat melancholic combination of classical music with the humor characteristic of the Monty Python group. Although the piece consists of a series of humorous tales about the sad fate of composers, it also hides interesting information about the history of music and its creators. Monty Python, known for their satirical sketches and absurd humor, this time juxtaposed Pachelbel's Canon - one of the most recognizable musical motifs - with other fragments of classical music. This is an interesting reference to the popularity of the canon in the world of music, while also humorously highlighting the difficulties composers face in maintaining their popularity and securing a lasting place in history. Decomposing Composers, or Kompozytorzy Dekomponenci, is a term used by the creators of the piece that refers to the sad reality of many composers. Despite their genius, they often experienced a poor existence, obscurity, and even injustice. As a result, many of their works remained in the shadows of unknown history. Monty Python uses humor to emphasize the paradox between creative genius and the difficult lives of composers. Among them, we can notice well-known figures such as Mozart, Chopin, and Tchaikovsky, whose lives were not easy for many reasons. The piece "Decomposing Composers" reminds us of the difficulties that these extraordinarily talented creators had to face and their valuable legacy for classical music. Thus, this piece is not only a humorous tribute to composers but also a reminder of the richness of classical music history and the impact that these creators had on the development of the genre. Monty Python, through their characteristic sense of humor, managed to combine education and entertainment, giving us the opportunity to expand our knowledge about classical music in an original and funny way. "Decomposing Composers - Monty Python Sings" is a piece that can both amuse and prompt reflection on the difficulties that accompanied many brilliant composers. It is a unique combination of humor and musical education that is certainly worth appreciating.
This is brilliant! Monty Python once again proves that they not only know how to make us laugh, but also have an incredible ability to use classical music in a humorous way. This song about composers, treated like trash, is both funny and a little melancholic. The combination of Pachelbel's canon with other motifs is absolute mastery! I definitely recommend this video to all fans of Monty Python and classical music.
