The Polish Chamber Choir Schola Cantorum Gedanensis* belongs to the narrow circle of the world elite of fully professional chamber choirs. The ensemble founded in 1978 by Ireneusz Łukaszewski, has been under the direction and artistic leadership of Jan Łukaszewski since 1983.
As part of the Polish Presidency 2011, the Polish Chamber Choir performed on December 3, 2011, in the RADIALSYSTEM V space in Berlin.

They managed to create an atmosphere full of concentration and reflection, ideally accompanied by the flowing sound of the organ throughout the piece. This version of Ave Maria is so beautiful and moving that it's hard to believe it was written by Vladimir Vavilov and not by Caccini himself.
