Born in Vilnius in 1930. In the years 1952-57, he studied piano and composition in the class of Julius Juzeliunas at the State Conservatory of the Lithuanian SSR in Vilnius. He continued his composition studies in the years 1957-60 at the State Higher School of Music in Warsaw under Bolesław Woytowicz.

His piece "History of Tango - Café 1930" is the essence of Argentine tango and showcases the multilayered nature of this music. In this wonderful performance, we can admire Marta Szermańska, a graduate of Magda Kania's flute class. Her playing is exceptionally expressive and emotional, perfectly conveying the moods of tango. Her interpretation is full of passion and precision, making the experience of listening to this piece truly unforgettable and moving. Accompanying her on guitar is Mateusz Sołtysek, whose playing wonderfully complements the whole. His technique and ability to create beautiful sounds add even more depth to the piece. This entire event takes place in the Concert Hall of the S. Moniuszko State Music School in Bielsko-Biała, which adds class and charm to this presentation. This hall is perfectly adapted for concerts, providing excellent acoustic conditions that are essential for the proper reception of this type of music. Astor Piazzolla was a master of creating melodies combined with dance elements. In "History of Tango - Café 1930" we can hear this in all its glory.
