Composer Paweł Pudło ("Living", "War Horns", "Violemi") wrote a piece for horn sextet titled "Calling of Memories" and directed a music video for it. Not wanting to replicate the ubiquitous "coronavideos" of today, he decided to gather footage recorded by the musicians using smartphones and creatively tell the story contained in the music, which is a narrative about life and time. The recordings featured horn players from NOSPR, the Krakow Philharmonic, and the Silesian Philharmonic: Tadeusz Tomaszewski, Adam Kozłowski, Piotr Sidor, Marek Gumiela, Leszek Salwa, Mariusz Ziętek. The composition was commissioned in 2018 at the initiative of Kazimierz Pamuła's students to mark the 50th anniversary of his educational activities.

"Calling of Memories" is a piece written for a horn sextet by Polish composer Paweł Pudło. This composition is part of a series of his musical works, which include titles such as "Alive", "War Horns", and "Violemi". Pudło is both the composer and the director of the music video for this piece. It is worth noting that Pudło decided not to follow the path of many contemporary creators who are recording films during the epidemic, related to the theme of the coronavirus. Instead, he chose to use footage recorded on smartphones by the musicians themselves, thereby creating an original story that showcases life and time. The recording features horn players from three renowned music institutions in Poland: the National Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio in Katowice, the Krakow Philharmonic, and the Silesian Philharmonic. These musicians are Tadeusz Tomaszewski, Adam Kozłowski, Piotr Sidor, Marek Gumiela, Leszek Salwa, and Mariusz Ziętek. It is worth mentioning that this composition was commissioned in 2018 at the initiative of students of Kazimierz Pamuła, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his educational activities. This is an important event in Polish music, which attests to the recognition and respect for Pamuła as a teacher and educator. "Calling of Memories" is an exceptional piece that combines both artistic quality and deep emotionality. Paweł Pudło, being both a composer and the director of the music video, showcases his versatile talents and creative abilities. His work with the horn players allows us to reach into an extraordinary story and experience it anew through this beautiful music.
Wow, this music video is really amazing! The composition "Calling of Memories" written by Paweł Pudło is beautiful and very emotional. I'm glad he decided to combine footage recorded by musicians on smartphones, creating a creative story about life and time. It's a great idea to use technology in art. The music is beautifully performed by the horn players from NOSPR, the Krakow Philharmonic, and the Silesian Philharmonic. It's also a wonderful initiative by the students of Kazimierz Pamuła to commission this composition for the 50th anniversary of his educational activities. I truly appreciate the talent and commitment of all the artists involved in this project!
