Zakopower is a charming folk 'soul' wrapped in a rock 'body'. The band remains faithful to its roots while eagerly absorbing contemporary musical trends, beautifully balancing traditional folk instrumentation with the deep growl of the guitar, the strong punch of the rock rhythm section, or jazz riffs. The quiet hero of Zakopower is Mateusz Pospieszalski, composer and producer of the recordings, while the face and unmistakable voice is Sebastian Karpiel-Bułecka. This duo is unbeatable. The end of 2022 marks the premiere of the long-awaited album 'Widzialne | niewidzialne', in which the band reveals new inspirations from the music of the world while emphasizing their own Podhale identity, opening themselves to collaboration with other artists - Katarzyna Nosowska, Ralph Kaminski, Igor Herbut, and Beata Komoszyńska.

ZAKOPOWER is currently the most famous band in Poland that has successfully combined the music of Podhale with modern sounds, as well as rock aesthetics. Zakopower debuted on the Polish music market with the album Music Hal released in 2005. The excellent compositions by Mateusz Pospieszalski, in a innovative, energetic performance by the band, were enthusiastically received by the audience (GOLDEN PLATE) and appreciated by the jurors of many music festivals - the victory of the then-unknown Zakopower in Opole and at Top Trends in 2005. Zakopower was nominated for the MTV EUROPE MUSIC AWARDS 2005, for the YACH FILM award, and was also recognized by the ACADEMY OF RECORDING, which nominated the album 'Music Hal' for a FRYDERYK in as many as six categories! The band's second album Na siedem, produced by Mateusz Pospieszalski, was released in 2007. In September, thanks to cooperation with 'Polska The Times', it had the chance to reach listeners in a huge, by Polish standards, circulation of over 600,000 copies.
