'The Big Bad Fox' is a world premiere theatrical adaptation based on the bestselling comic of the same name.

The titular big bad fox really wants to spread fear and terror throughout the forest, but he completely fails at it. Due to his total lack of human skills, every hunting attempt ends in failure and humiliation, and the fox is the laughingstock of the entire area, especially the chickens. Helpless and still hungry (because how much can one eat of just a thistle), he allows himself to be persuaded by a real predator, a wolf, into what seems like a brilliant plan. Why hunt chickens and risk his life when he can just steal the eggs, and then raise the chicks to make them tender, and voilà - meal ready! However, what sounds good in theory will, of course, be very difficult in practice, and in the show based on Renner's comic - also extraordinarily funny.

The story touches on many important, contemporary, and timeless themes, such as friendship, the search for one's identity and place in the world, sacrifice, and the limitless power of maternal love.

The forms used in the show were designed based on children's drawings, selected as part of a competition for the design of a theatrical puppet.
