Weronika Włodarczyk, a graduate student in the Vocal Department of the Academy of Arts in Szczecin, studying solo singing under Dr. hab. Sylwia Burnicka-Kalischewska, prof. AS, won 1st place and a gold medal in the international New York Golden Classical Music Awards International Music Competition 2025 and was invited to participate in the winners' concert, which took place on March 17, 2025, at the renowned Carnegie Hall in New York.
For evaluation, the student presented exclusively works by Polish composers, Karol Szymanowski and Stanisław Moniuszko, which included songs and arias in various styles and from different eras. By the jury's decision, in the winners' concert, the mezzo-soprano presented the aria of Jadwiga 'Biegnie słuchać w lasy, w knieje' from the opera 'Straszny dwór' by Stanisław Moniuszko, which undoubtedly has a positive impact on promoting Polish culture worldwide. During the preparations and recordings of the mentioned works, Weronika was accompanied by mgr Agnieszka Barańska, while during the performance at Carnegie Hall in New York, the piano was played by Lianhua Chi, with whom Weronika already performed last July at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
In the winners' concert at Carnegie Hall in New York, Weronika Włodarczyk performed alongside virtuosos from the following countries of the world: the United States, Japan, Singapore, Australia, China, New Zealand, Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea, Australia, Indonesia, Montenegro, the United Kingdom, Romania, Taiwan, Canada, Germany, Peru, Venezuela, India, Cyprus, Azerbaijan, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Brazil, Denmark, Iceland, Israel, Croatia, and Malta.
