11:00 AM
Organizer: Polish Society of Contemporary Music
Location: Wawer Cultural Center auditorium
1a Å»egaÅska Street, Warsaw
We invite children aged 6 to 11 to the concert 'Variations and Transformations', which will take place on International Music Day â on Tuesday, October 1st at 11:00 AM in the Wawer Cultural Center auditorium at 1a Å»egaÅska Street in Warsaw.
For this special day, we have prepared a very original concert, led by composer JarosÅaw SiwiÅski and actor Grzegorz Ociepka.
We will show how various ways of having fun with music can be created by inventing increasingly crazy variations of a single musical theme. As a result, alongside the changing music, abstract lines and spots, spider webs, beach balls, and rockets will appear... All this thanks not only to the excellent musicians but also to the video animations prepared by the composer and the poems of MaÅgorzata KoÅcz, who plays in 'Variations...' on the double bass.
The concert will feature outstanding performers who will joyfully introduce the young audience to the world of contemporary music. For example, composer JarosÅaw SiwiÅski has been the artistic director of the Warsaw Music Meetings festival for 8 years. Actor Grzegorz Ociepka runs his own theater for children daily. Clarinetist Bogdan Kraski is a soloist with the Grand Theatre Orchestra. BartÅomiej Sutt is a laureate of 6 percussion competitions and an ambassador for the French brand 'Bergerault Percussion'. Dagny BaczyÅska-Kissas teaches piano, is also a composer and dancer, while double bassist MaÅgorzata KoÅcz creates poetry, conducts original improvisation workshops for children, and continues to create new events related to contemporary music.

JarosÅaw SiwiÅski â conductor I
Grzegorz Ociepka â conductor II
