How many classics were there? What a question! - three: Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven. But are they the only ones that really matter in the European classical era? It seems so... at least that's what the latest album from Dux, published in the series 'Masters of Eras and Their Works', convinces us of. This is already the second album of this series, which we recommend to both the always curious youth and experienced music lovers, who may not be easily surprised anymore... Although they might want to take a look at this album, as the repertoire compiled here not only has clear educational values, but is also enjoyable to listen to; and as we know - such a combination of positive qualities in albums on our market is quite rare.
It turns out, moreover, that our well-known three Viennese classics represent their era perfectly, and to be considered fully educated, all you need to do is listen to them. If anyone has doubts, they should listen to this album, as they will find the true voices of that era in it, seemingly still close and familiar to us, but nevertheless constantly surprising with the intensity of expression, charm of melody, and excellence of compositional craftsmanship. And as for the music itself - this one simply cannot get boring... it is just excellent!
