KSU invites you to the concert tour 'Idź pod prąd 2024' on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the release of the analog album 'Pod Prąd' and the premiere of the film about the band

We are pleased to announce that the legendary punk rock band KSU is embarking on a nationwide concert tour 'Idź pod prąd 2024'. This exceptional musical event is organized to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the release of the iconic album 'Pod Prąd'. At the same time, fans will have the opportunity to celebrate the premiere of the long-awaited film telling the story of the band, which has traveled from the small town of Ustrzyki Dolne to the national music scene.

The film, titled 'Idź pod prąd', will have its premiere under the banner of Superconic Production, with Wiesław Paluch as the director and co-screenwriter along with Doman Nowakowski. This film is funded by the Polish Film Institute, and its theatrical distribution is provided by TVP Kinowa Distribution. The film premiere is scheduled for September 27, 2024.

The film tells the story of the band's beginnings in the late 1970s, when a group of young enthusiasts, inspired by punk culture and the band Sex Pistols, decided to form their own musical group in defiance of the repressive actions of the then authorities. In the lead roles, we will see Ignacy Liss as Siczkę, the band leader, as well as Maciej Piotrowski, Igor Paszczyk, Bartłomiej Deklewę, and others who will portray the remaining band members and their close ones.

The concert tour 'Idź pod prąd 2024' is not only a celebration of an important anniversary but also an opportunity to relive the spirit of rebellion and freedom that has always characterized KSU's music. The band has officially released 12 albums during its 40 years of activity. In addition, over 30 pirate and bootleg releases have appeared - mainly with concert materials. KSU initially performed alternative rock with elements of Bieszczady vibes and is commonly associated with this trend. A great asset of the group is the excellent sound developed over years of playing together, iconic songs by Eugeniusz 'Siczka' Olejarczyk, and the immense energy that the band conveys to the audience. The concert will feature two sets: the first totally punk, full of madness and jumping in the crowd, and the second, acoustic, which will set the mood for the beautiful and wild Bieszczady.
