The guest of The Bacewicz Percussion Ensemble will be the Portuguese composer of electronic music, currently residing in Amsterdam. The artist creates projects using new technologies that provide audiences with multisensory experiences. Igor e Silva is the winner of many international composition competitions. He received first prizes in the Areon Flutes Commissioning Prize 2018 (USA); the 1st International Competition of Electroacoustic and Intermedial Composition “eviMus” (Germany, 2017); the 2nd International Composition Competition named after Jorge Peixinho (Portugal, 2015); the 5th International Composition Competition in Póvoa de Varzim (Portugal, 2010); and the 2nd Composition Competition Casa da Música/ESMAE in Porto (Portugal, 2009).
