This will be the 215th anniversary of the composer's birth. On this occasion, we have selected beautiful pieces for you, which will transport you to the poetic world of music. The compositions of Fryderyk Chopin will be performed for you by outstanding pianists of the younger generation, who have many successes and awards to their credit.

Michał Mossakowski
Pianist, organist, doctor of musical arts, born in 1992 in a family with musical traditions, he is among the most interesting Polish pianists of the younger generation. He is a graduate of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk (diploma with distinction), the National Conservatory in Paris, and the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. In 2021, he obtained a doctoral degree at the Gdańsk Academy of Music. During his studies, he was trained by outstanding artists and educators such as: Michel Dalberto, Wojciech Świtała, Włodzimierz Wiesztordt. He also studied organ performance at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań under Jarosław Tarnawski.
He has numerous solo recitals, chamber concerts, and performances with orchestras in Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Spain, Germany, Russia, Sweden, Italy, China, and the United States. He has performed in many prestigious concert halls worldwide, including: Carnegie Hall in New York, Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Salle Rémy Pflimlin in Paris, Wiener Saal Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Concert Studio of Polish Radio named after Witold Lutosławski in Warsaw, the Concert Hall of the National Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio (NOSPR) in Katowice, the Concert Studio of Radio Gdańsk named after Janusz Hajdun, the National Philharmonic, Baltic, Szczecin, Gorzów, Pomeranian, Wrocław Philharmonics, the Concert Hall of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk, Łódź, Poznań, Katowice, Kraków, and others.
He is a recipient of top awards at many national and international piano competitions, including: the 48th Polish Piano Festival (Słupsk, 2014), the 7th Nordic Piano Competition in Malmö (Sweden, 2014), the 2nd International Piano Competition named after L. Godowski (Warsaw, 2014), the International Piano Competition in Salzburg (Austria, 2016), the International Piano Competition in New York (USA, 2017), the International Piano Competition named after F. Chopin in Hartford (USA, 2017), the 11th International Piano Competition named after F. Chopin in Marianske Lazne (Czech Republic, 2017), the 3rd International Piano Competition in Livorno (Italy, 2019), and the 25th International Piano Competition named after Jean Françaix in Vanves/Paris (France, 2022). For his achievements, he has received scholarships from the Minister of Science and Higher Education, the President of the City of Gdańsk, the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, the Marshal of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, and the Rector of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk.
He has performed with many orchestras, including: Leipziger Symphonieorchester, Orchestre des Lauréats CNSMDP, Iuventus Symphony Orchestra named after Jerzy Semkow, Symphony Orchestra of the Baltic Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra of the Szczecin Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, Polish Chamber Orchestra Sopot, Chamber Orchestra Progress under the baton of conductors such as: Jerzy Maksymiuk, Bertrand de Billy, Kai Bumann, Massimiliano Caldi, Gudni Emillsson, Alexander Humala, Nikolas Krüger, Szymon Morus, Marek Moś, Wojciech Rajski, Zygmunt Rychert, Andrea Sanguinetti.
He has performed in various chamber formations with many distinguished artists: Jean-Marc Fessard, Andrzej Wojciechowski, Karol Mossakowski, Diana Ligeti, Maciej Kułakowski, Marcin Zdunik, Tatsushi Fujioka. He is regularly invited to conduct workshops and piano courses for talented youth from national music schools, as well as students of art universities. He has participated multiple times in the Jury of national and international music competitions. He has also made numerous premieres of compositions by J. Maksymiuk, M. Magin, T. Escaich, O. Penard, K. Falkowski, A. Krause, as well as his own transcriptions.
Since 2015, he has also been involved in pedagogy, employed at the Piano Department of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. In 2024, he became a consultant for the Center for Artistic Education. Since 2022, he has served as the artistic director of the International Baltic Piano Competition.
Kacper Kukliński
Kacper Kukliński is a young 20-year-old pianist. He comes from a family with musical traditions. He has been playing the piano since he was 6 years old. He graduated from the Feliks Nowowiejski Music School I and II degree in Gdańsk with distinction. He is currently in his second year of undergraduate studies at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the class of dr hab. Beata Bilińska, prof. AM and prof. dr hab. Wojciech Świtała. From the beginning of his musical education, he has worked under the guidance of dr hab. Elżbieta Pasierowska. From 2019 to 2023, he studied in the piano class of prof. Waldemar Wojtal.
The pianist has numerous top awards at national and international festivals and competitions, both as a soloist and chamber musician. He has performed many times in Poland and abroad as a soloist, chamber musician, as well as a soloist with orchestras. He had the opportunity to present himself abroad in cities such as: Beijing, Stockholm, Pamplona, Brussels, Paris, Vilnius, Weimar, Mikulov, Toblach. He has also performed in many prestigious venues in Poland: the Ball Room of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the Palace on the Isle - the Royal Łazienki in Warsaw, the Concert Hall and Chamber Hall of NOSPR in Katowice, the Villa of Karol Szymanowski - Atma in Zakopane, in the Chopin Manor in Żelazowa Wola, in Szafarnia, at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, at the Academy of Music in Katowice, at UMFC in Warsaw, at the Baltic Philharmonic, the Kashubian Philharmonic, the Polish Philharmonic “Sinfonia Baltica” named after Wojciech Kilar in Słupsk, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Prague, and many other places.
The artist also excels in chamber music, playing and achieving success in piano duos, duos with violin, duo with clarinet, piano trios, piano quartets, or piano quintets. His interest in chamber music is so strong that he actively collaborates with outstanding young artists, performing on the stages of many prestigious halls in Poland and Europe.
Kacper Kukliński has had the honor of performing numerous times with various Polish orchestras. One of the most important experiences was performing with the NOSPR orchestra in Katowice. The young artist also has in his repertoire a performance with the world-renowned percussionist and composer Emmanuel Séjourné, with whom he performed a concert of his authorship on marimba and xylophone at percussion workshops in Gdańsk.
Kacper continuously improves his skills by participating in piano courses and workshops. Contact with many outstanding educators greatly enriches his development; he has trained with distinguished pianists from around the world. He has collaborated with prof. Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, prof. Anna Prabucka-Firlej, prof. Jurij Bogdanow, prof. Alicja Paleta-Bugaj, prof. Vincenzo Balzani, prof. Zbigniew Raubo, prof. Andrzej Jasiński, prof. Philippe Giusiano, prof. Krystyna Borucińska, prof. Carlo Palese, prof. Joanna Ślawrynowicz-Just, prof. Bogdan Czapiewski, dr hab. Paweł Rydel, dr Maciej Gański, Prof. dr hab. Alina Ratkowska, and others. He has also collaborated with recognized, actively performing pianists: Krzysztof Książek, Aleksandra Świgut, Mischa Kozłowski.
Kacper Kukliński was a Scholar of the National Fund for Children from 2015 to 2023. He has also received the President of the City of Gdańsk scholarship twice and the scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage; he is a laureate of the “Young Poland” Scholarship.
