The Concert Hall of the Academy of Music in Åódź has been a space for music and culture for 12 years. Among numerous events, concerts, and performances, the central position is occupied by the AÅ» Festival, which since its inception has presented the results of the work of academic ensembles and soloists, educators, students, and invited guests. This year's Festival, scheduled from November 23 to December 7, will include: performances of 'Die Fledermaus' by Johann Strauss, a vocal-acting spectacle with the music of Grzegorz Ciechowski and Republic, concerts of new, percussion, and symphonic music, and for the finale â a performance by the Big Band with the guest participation of StanisÅaw Sojka. Tickets for the festival concerts priced at 70 PLN, 50 PLN, and 30 PLN are already available at the AM ticket office and on the platform kicket.pl.
Celebrating the 130th anniversary of Julian Tuwim's birth, the Academy of Music in Åódź will reach for the operetta 'Die Fledermaus' translated by him. This musical and literary masterpiece captivates the audience with its comedic charm. Students of the Faculty of Stage Arts, the Choir, and the Orchestra of AM, along with actors from PWSFTviT in Åódź, will present the spectacle under the artistic direction of MichaÅ Kocimski and directed by Beata Redo-Dobber (November 23 and 24). Another birthday anniversary â this time the 75th of Prof. Bogdan Dowlasz â will be celebrated with performances of his music. Soloists: Elwira Å»aliwkiewicz-Cisak, Zbigniew Ignaczewski, and Krzysztof KamiÅski, along with the PRIMUZ Chamber Orchestra and the AM Chamber Choir under the direction of Åukasz BÅaszczyk and Dawid Ber (November 27).
The guest of The Bacewicz Percussion Ensemble will be the Portuguese composer of electronic music Igor Filip Costa e Silva. The suggestive title of the concert featuring him â 'Light, Laughter, and Image in an Electronic Kaleidoscope' â showcases the diversity and spectacle of the repertoire prepared for that evening. The artists will perform under the direction of Piotr Sutt (November 30). There was 'Die Fledermaus', there will also be 'Masakra'. Students of the Jazz and Stage Vocal Institute, along with dancers specializing in choreography and dance techniques, will present a spectacle based on the works of the band Republic, Obywatel GC, and Grzegorz Ciechowski. They will explore both the dark sides of human nature and the goodness in the human soul. The spectacle will be directed by Marek RachoÅ, and the choreography will be created by Agnieszka ÅuczyÅska (December 2).
In a concert titled 'Spaces', the forces will unite: the New Music Orchestra, specializing in the performance of contemporary music, and SoundCheck â New Music Ensemble â a group operating in AM for just two years, but having several extremely successful concert projects to its credit, including participation in the 34th Festival of Contemporary Music 'Musica Polonica Nova' and recordings for the 2nd Program of Polish Radio. They will be conducted by Szymon Bywalec and Maciej Koczur (December 4). The AM Big Band has already performed at the AÅ» Festival with Krystyna ProÅko, Dorota MiÅkiewicz, Grzegorz Nagórski, and Tomasz Szymusiem. This year their outstanding guest will be StanisÅaw Sojka â a jazz and pop vocalist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist (December 7).
