In a moment of desperation, he asks his friend Matt, a man of extraordinary appearance and brilliance (played by Paweł Małaszyński), to pose as the author of the book, gaining media attention and goodwill, thus making it a bestseller. The undeniable strength of the performance is the duo created by Andrzej Nejman and Paweł Małaszyński. Both actors, hardly leaving the stage, excellently deliver dialogues and have fun with their extremely contrasting roles. Andrzej as the tragicomic, insecure hysteric, and Paweł as the self-confident ladies' man, spar with text on the edge of circus skills. Of course, a convoluted plot, twists, and a huge dose of laughter require virtuoso support. Therefore, excellent actresses join the game, creating colorful roles, and not conceding an inch to the male duo. Irena Melcer as Maggie Sweet finds herself in the role of a sexy femme fatale with extraordinary lightness, Maja Hirsch seduces in the role of Nancy, dynamic like Pendolino, Sherman’s muse, and Magda Stużyńska and Ola Justa as the maid, with brilliantly sharp irony, comment on the events. It’s a comedic feast where not only is it worth participating, but one must participate.
