Mirian Khukhunaishvili – conductor

A Georgian conductor residing in Iceland. Founder and director of the Tbilisi Youth Orchestra. He has conducted numerous orchestras from different countries around the world, such as: Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Bamberger Symphoniker, Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Iceland Symphony Orchestra, National Forum of Music Orchestra, Korean Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, North Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra, Gävle Symphony Orchestra, and the Baltic Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, as well as all the most important orchestras and choirs in Georgia.

He has collaborated with world-renowned musicians, including: Eliso Virsaladze, Paata Burchuladze, Stuart Skelton, George Gagnidze, Nino Machaidze, Valery Sokolov, Alexander Buzlov, Marie-Pierre Langlamet, Eduard Brunner, Anastasia Kobekina, Veriko Tchumburidze, and Stathis Karapanos.

He participated in the Ammodo Masterclass with the Concertgebouw Orchestra and Fabio Luisi, in the Conducting Academy with the Tonhalle Orchester Zürich and Paavo Järvi, and in the Nordic Conductors’ Forum with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and Klaus Mäkelä.
