On November 29, the fifth Christmas charity event of the Radio 357 community kicks off.
Kuba Strzyczkowski will host 4 on-air auctions.
These are already the thirtieth charity auctions conducted by Kuba Strzyczkowski and the fifth on Radio 357.
Kuba Strzyczkowski was honored with an award at the 15th Charity Stars poll.
Items for auction have been donated by personalities from the world of music, culture, and sports.
In the Allegro Charytatywni service, journalists from Radio 357 will present their items for auction.
Wiktor Zborowski participated in promotional spots for the event.
Details of the event and descriptions of the auctioned items are available on the website pomagamy.Radio357.pl
This year, the total amount raised will be donated to the Saint Nicholas Foundation for a scholarship program for talented children.
For the 30th time, Kuba Strzyczkowski as an auctioneer
Four auctions will be hosted on air by Kuba Strzyczkowski. These are the fifth auctions on Radio 357 and already the thirtieth in Kuba Strzyczkowski's career â he first picked up the auction hammer in 1995.
– Over the years, we have undoubtedly created something extraordinary. The auction format fits perfectly into the specifics of the radio station. But for this to be possible â a tremendous amount of work from many people is also necessary. And such a jubilee is a good moment to remind about it. Listeners hear Mr. Kuba, but without the best team, I would have achieved little. Over the years, there have been really many people involved. Without them, it simply wouldnât have worked. Over 25 years at Trójka, and since 2020 â here at Radio 357, we have raised millions of zlotys this way. When I say 'we', I also mean, of course, our listeners, who are reliably with us and open their hearts to help those in need – says Kuba Strzyczkowski, host of the Christmas auctions on Radio 357.
In November this year, Kuba Strzyczkowski was honored with an award at the 15th Charity Stars poll.
This year, the auctions will take place on November 29 and December 6, 13, and 20 between 16:00 and 19:00. Listeners will bid by phone on items donated by well-known personalities from the world of music, art, and sports. Every week, sets of 5–6 proposals will be available for auction â including a day with the MoCarta Group, a cruise with Kuba Strzyczkowski, a ride on the racetrack with Kuba PrzygoÅski, or⦠a garden sauna.
In promotional spots for the event, Wiktor Zborowski will appear as St. Nicholas for the second time, replacing Franciszek Pieczka, who supported the Christmas event with his voice for many years.
The goal â supporting talents of children from underprivileged families
For the fifth time, the team of Radio 357 is organizing a charity event in collaboration with the Saint Nicholas Foundation. This year, the help will be aimed at supporting the talents of children from families who cannot afford to develop them.
– The December event is one of the hallmarks of the Radio 357 Community. During it, miracles happen â especially during the Friday auctions with Kuba Strzyczkowski. Our listeners cannot imagine the Christmas season without them. We canât either. This year, we particularly remind about it with two round anniversaries â 30 years since Kuba Strzyczkowski's first auction at Trójka and 5 years since the first auction at Radio 357. We organized it in 2020 â even before we started broadcasting regularly – says Agnieszka Szwajgier from the management of Radio 357.
– Together with the Saint Nicholas Foundation, we want to give children a chance to develop their passions and talents in music, literature, painting, sports, mathematics, or journalism. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to develop their skills and realize their dreams, regardless of where they come from – she adds.
This year, Radio 357 listeners will support the Saint Nicholas Scholarship program, which has been operating for 14 years. Within it, the foundation's staff track and study the needs of children, especially in the area of access to education and development.
– In every corner of Poland, in every school, there are active, talented students whose financial situation prevents them from continuing their education, developing their talents, or exceptional skills. These are individuals with enormous potential, who in the future could become leaders in the development of their communities. We estimate that over 522 thousand children in Poland are at risk of extreme poverty â among them many exceptionally talented individuals. We want to help them and enable the development of their talents. We calculated that 242 zlotys is the average monthly shortfall for underprivileged parents to meet the educational needs of one child. Therefore, the Saint Nicholas Scholarship amounts to an average of 250 zlotys and is dedicated specifically to development and education – says Joanna Paciorek from the Saint Nicholas Foundation.
Auctions not only on air
In the Allegro Charytatywni service, journalists from Radio 357 will present their proposals for bidding.
– Phone auctions are the weekly culmination of our event, but we want absolutely everyone to be able to participate in it. Thatâs why we have also prepared other options â including charity auctions on Allegro – says Kamila Januszko, coordinating the organization of the event at Radio 357.
– Everyone in the Radio 357 team tries to contribute some unique idea â often itâs an experience instead of a material item. Itâs a great offer for those who prefer to bid online. For three weeks on Allegro Charytatywni, we will reveal what each person has come up with this year â we are sure that every auction will be a memory for a lifetime – she adds.
In previous years, listeners have bid on, among other things, a trip to a concert with music journalists, a tour of the Copernicus Science Centre, and even a broadcast conducted from the winnerâs home. The record auction on Allegro took place in 2021 â a coffee outing with Marek Niedźwiecki was auctioned for nearly 50 thousand zlotys.
