Born in 1947 in Warsaw. He studied sound directing and composition in Warsaw. He creates computer and electroacoustic works, writes orchestral, chamber, and stage pieces, composes music for ballet, theater, film, and creates sound installations. As a composer and performer of his works, he has performed concerts in most European countries, in Asia, North and South America. He is a co-founder of improvised music groups, including the KEW Composers Group (1974-76), Freight Train (since 1986), CH&K&K group (since 1999), and Mud Knights (since 2003). Since 2006, he has been running the international festival of improvised music Ad Libitum, which he founded. He teaches at music academies in Łódź and Krakow.
