Chamber Concert from the FORTEPIAN + Series

The Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław invites you to a chamber concert from the FORTEPIAN + series, which will take place on January 25, 2016, at 6:00 PM in the AMKL Theatre Hall. FREE ENTRY!

FORTEPIAN + is a series of chamber concerts featuring the piano as the main instrument, organized at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. Over 200 years of the piano's presence in salons and concert halls has resulted in thousands of chamber compositions inspired by the possibility of combining its sound with voice or other instruments. If we add to this works in which the piano replaces the orchestra, thus realizing the so-called orchestral reduction, the amount of repertoire that cannot do without the piano becomes incalculable. Therefore, there is much to choose from, which is why we will propose an attractive, colorful, and stylistically diverse program to the audience. In performances by students – pianists, who will be partnered by instrumentalists and vocalists, we will hear various examples of the piano's existence in music, from the commonly encountered to the unusual. The youth and enthusiasm of the performers prepared by the teachers of the Chamber Music Department will certainly be an additional encouragement to spend this evening with us.
