CONCERT OF GRZEGORZ NIEMCZUK AS PART OF THE "FRYDERYK CHOPIN AT WILLA LENTZA. ALL WORKS" CYCLE

On May 10 (Friday) at 19:00, another concert from the 'Fryderyk Chopin at Willa Lentza. All Works' cycle will take place at the Szczecin Willa Lentza. This time, Grzegorz Niemczuk - a Polish piano virtuoso and winner of numerous piano competitions - will perform.

The 'Fryderyk Chopin at Willa Lentza. All Works' cycle was initiated by the Szczecin Willa Lentza, and the first event of the cycle took place in January 2024. Since then, the following artists have performed at Willa Lentza: Jakub Kuszlik, Ewa Pobłocka, David Serebryanik, and Sławomir Wilk. In the coming months, during the villa evenings, works by Fryderyk Chopin will be interpreted by contemporary stars of the stage, applauded by audiences in prestigious concert halls around the world. The main ambition of the organizers is to present all of the master's works.

Willa Lentza is one of the most diverse and active cultural institutions. Events at Willa Lentza take place almost daily - the institution's program features interesting exhibitions of Polish and foreign artists, concerts by world-renowned musicians, and theatrical performances. The activities of Willa Lentza encompass a wide range of cultural events that promote music, art, and broadly understood culture at a high level. Despite the prestigious presentations, the organizers of the events successfully manage to shorten the distance between the work and the audience - this is possible thanks to ensuring an intimate contact with great art.

Grzegorz Niemczuk has performed in the most famous concert halls in the world - Carnegie Hall and Steinway Hall in New York, Kioi Hall in Tokyo, Beijing Concert Hall in Beijing, Teatro Sérgio Cardoso in São Paulo, Victoria Concert Hall in Singapore, and Collonge-Bellerive in Geneva. Grzegorz Niemczuk has already performed in 36 countries, and his music is appreciated by critics and audiences worldwide. As the first Pole in history, he won the main prize at the International Carnegie Hall Concert Debut Competition in New York in 2013. In 2016, he was awarded the Special Prize at the International Busan Maru Music Festival in South Korea.

During the pandemic (2020–2022), the artist created a unique project of recording films-lectures on all works of Fryderyk Chopin. During this time, over 330 episodes were created, which were published on YouTube and Facebook. The project was created in two language versions - Polish and English.

At Willa Lentza, Grzegorz Niemczuk will present five mazurkas Op. 6, two variations in E major on the theme of the German song 'Steh’ auf, steh’ auf, du schweizer Bub' Op. posth., and from 'Hexameron' on the theme of the march from the opera 'The Puritans' by Bellini op. 29 A, as well as the Sonata in B-flat minor Op. 35 (written in Nohant in 1839) with the famous 'Marche funèbre' and Scherzo in B-flat minor Op. 31 from 1837 dedicated by Fryderyk Chopin to Adèle de Fürstenstein.
