Menopause... and Already - a theatrical hit!

Being a woman over forty doesn’t have to be sad, difficult, and boring... this is proven by the colorful heroines of the play 'Menopause ... and Already' - Elżbieta Jodłowska. Although Pamela, Malina, Krycha, and Zosia struggle with conventional problems such as loneliness, lack of love, infidelity, or domestic catastrophes, where male help would come in handy, their approach to the adversities of fate, often caused by age, is an excellent model for every mature woman to follow.

The heroines uniquely show how - with a large dose of good spirit, self-acceptance, and humor - one can master and survive the difficult time of menopause for every woman, making the quality of life during this period become pleasant memories in the future. The unconventional presentation of the problem is enriched not only by an excellent acting performance but also by a pleasant musical motif in the form of songs written to popular and well-liked tunes, accompanied by humorous choreography performed by the heroines.

In the play, in a humorous way, we talk and sing about hot flashes, which for many women is something embarrassing. Here we hear the melody of the song 'Kuba wyspa jak wulkan gorąca' and the heroines singing: 'I feel the hot flash again O-la! E-ja! As if I touched the sun with my forehead the heat of the tropics ignites me.' The pursuit of perfection sometimes comes at a huge sacrifice, the heroines describe in the song: 'I can’t catch my breath anymore... And the success is already here... here... My trainer promised me, that is, Staś, that after ten grams fall...'. These women are aware of the passing time, which does not spare them, but they do not intend to be discouraged, they willingly accept it as something that is part of the life of every woman who crosses the milestone of 50 years.
