On Sunday evening, the National Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio in Katowice set sail on a journey on the sea of love under the baton of Bassem Akiki.
With Wojciech Kilar's waltz from the movie 'Trędowata', they put the concert hall guests in a joyful mood of celebrating these wonderful emotions, which were not lacking among the music lovers.
Not only the heroes invoked by the hosts - Klaudia Baranowska and Piotr Matwiejczuk - were in turmoil, but also the dreams of the audience, memories, and the joy of getting tickets that sold out in an instant.
On the calm waves of immensely positive emotions, above which Maestro Bassem Akiki watched, dosing them with proper hand gestures, indicating the right rhythm with the baton, we set sail on the wide waters of waltzes and beautiful melodies.
The art of conducting was noticeable with every change of mood in the played piece by giving it individual meaning by the conductor.
The tango from the movie 'Jealousy and Medicine' added color and brought together and calmed the tone of the vast waters of love of various hues. We listened to suites from movies: 'Star Wars', 'The Promised Land', 'Nights and Days', 'Out of Africa', 'Gone with the Wind', 'Pearl Harbor', 'Forrest Gump', 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs', which we can find in Wrocław :) and 'My Heart Will Go On' from the movie 'Titanic'.
Subtlety, romanticism of the moment, and a return to important events are the attributes of this event.
The harmonious sound waves of the well-coordinated National Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio and the applause of the delighted audience ensured a safe arrival at the musical port under the Polish and Lebanese flags, and the dignity of this moment was illuminated by the polonaise from the movie 'Pan Tadeusz' according to Polish tradition.
