She is one of the most outstanding artistic personalities of recent years in Poland. She has performed with recitals and concerts in prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in New York, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the Rossini Hall in Padua, and Kawai Omotesando Hall in Tokyo. She has collaborated with such distinguished musicians as Jesus Lopez Cobos, Dalia Atlas, Jorge Mester, Agnieszka Duczmal, Enrique Batiz, Mykola Dyadyura, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Waldemar Malicki, MichaÅ Urbaniak, Krzesimir DÄbski, and Ewa PobÅocka. Katarzyna Duda studied in the master class of violinist Maestro Tibor Varga at the Ecole Superieure de Musique in Sion, Switzerland, and under the artistic guidance of Jan Stanienda at the Music Academy in Warsaw. The artist is a laureate of the International Violin Competition Tibor Varga in Sion, Switzerland, and also a laureate of the International Competition for Solo Violin Tadeusz WroÅski in Warsaw, and was also nominated for the 'Paszport Polityki' award. The albums 'Le Streghe' with Waldemar Malicki at the piano and 'Le Streghe 2' with the 'Wratislavia' Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Jan Stanienda received enthusiastic reviews in the media and nominations for the FRYDERYK award, respectively in 2000 and 2001. The artist has also recorded an album with violinist Tadeusz Paciorkiewicz. In 2008, Katarzyna Duda completed the recording of material for her two latest phonographic projects: with musician Andrzej Nikodemowicz and 'A Simple Classic Album'. On this last album, you will hear as a guest one of the most outstanding and versatile Polish vocalists â Anna Maria Jopek. The artist plays on an Italian instrument from the early 19th century.
