Kamila KuÅakowska (soprano) – a graduate of the State Music School of the 2nd degree in piano and the Vocal and Acting Department of the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz (diploma with honors).
She is a laureate of many competitions, including: the III National Competition 'Golden Voices' in Warsaw (2008, 1st place and a special award for performing an operetta aria), the XII International Vocal Art Competition named after Ada Sari in Nowy SÄ cz (2007, 2nd place and a special award for performing the aria of Pamina from the opera 'The Magic Flute' by W. A. Mozart), the VI International Vocal Competition named after St. Moniuszko in Warsaw (2007, special award from the KoÅciuszko Foundation), the III Vocal Competition named after I. J. Paderewski in Bydgoszcz (2006, 2nd place (no 1st place awarded) and a number of special awards, including from Program II of Polish Radio), the VIII National Vocal Competition in Duszniki Zdrój (2006, special award), and the III Vocal Competition named after Halina Halska in WrocÅaw (2005, 3rd place and a special award for performing a contemporary piece).
She made her debut as Papagena in Berlin in 2004. In the 2004/2005 artistic season, she was associated with the Opera at the Castle in Szczecin, where she created roles mainly from the operas of W. A. Mozart and St. Moniuszko.
She honed her skills during numerous master vocal courses conducted by, among others: Prof. Ch. Hampe (Karlsruhe), Prof. Ch. Elssner (Dresden), and Prof. H. Åazarska (Vienna). She participated in many festivals, among which it is worth mentioning: the VI Belcanto Festival (NaÅÄczów; 2008), the Hoffmann Festival (PoznaÅ; 2008), the XVII International Festival of Young Laureates of Music Competitions (Katowice; 2007), the 45th Moniuszko Festival (Kudowa Zdrój; 2007), Ars Cameralis (Kraków; 2007, 2008), ÅaÅcuch IV (Warsaw; 2007), Vivat Moniuszko (Szczecin; 2005), the International Festival Kaleidoscope of Musical Forms (Sopot; 2004), and the International Festival Wratislavia Cantans (WrocÅaw; 2002 and 2003).
She conducts an active concert activity. She performs on stages both in the country and abroad (Austria, Bulgaria, Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Romania, Sweden). She has sung in many prestigious concert halls. One could hear her, among others: at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, at the Polish Radio Studio named after W. LutosÅawski in Warsaw, at the National Opera in Cluj (Romania), at the National Philharmonic in Sofia (Bulgaria), at the Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria), and in many other places.
In her repertoire, she has operatic works (including Amor from the opera 'Orpheus and Eurydice' by Ch. W. Gluck, Pamina, 1st Lady, and Papagena from the opera 'The Magic Flute' by W. A. Mozart, Zaida from the opera 'Zaida' by W. A. Mozart, Tatiana from the opera 'Eugene Onegin' by P. Tchaikovsky, MaÅgosia from the opera 'JaÅ and MaÅgosia' by E. Humperdinck, Bubikopf from the opera 'The Emperor of Atlantis' by V. Ullmann, and the Nightingale from the opera 'The Nightingale' by I. StrawiÅski) as well as oratorio-cantata works (including 'Stabat Mater' by G. B. Pergolesi and K. Szymanowski, 'Messiah' by G. F. Handel, 'Magnificat' by J. S. Bach, and 'Requiem' by W. A. Mozart). She is also greatly interested in vocal lyricism, to which she dedicates herself with great passion. In her repertoire, there are over 200 songs. Currently, she collaborates with the Grand Theatre National Opera in Warsaw, the Kraków Opera, the Opera at the Castle in Szczecin, and with the Opole, Pomeranian, and Sudeten Philharmonics.
