Niepamięć is a new performance created in co-production with the Warsaw Garnizon Sztuki Theater and the Stefan Jaracz Theater in Łódź.

Popular and award-winning. Actor. A man of success. Celebrity. With a beautiful partner and a well-ordered life. A casual, non-committal dinner with Była and her new boyfriend cannot change that! Or can it? We invite you to an ironic, full of brilliant dialogues tragicomedy by the most fashionable contemporary Polish playwright: Marek Modzelewski. It is a surprising, suspenseful story about interpersonal relationships, trust, and the bill that life will present to each of us sooner or later.

Can the past be settled? Innocent memories and reflections on a former life will open unhealed wounds that still hurt after many years – even if we do not fully know whether these memories are true. Because what is memory really? It is the ability to store in our brain our memories, events from our life, people, things. Remembering is a whole mass of numerous actions that we consciously or unconsciously trigger. Sometimes, when recalling something from memory, we confuse facts with our fantasies or reinterpret events to protect our emotions. Sometimes we repress information that we do not want to remember because it is painful for us. The past returns with such a strong accent that the current lives of our heroes seem fragile and easily destructible. And there will certainly be no shortage of emotions throughout the entire performance.
