Final of the III International Organ Competition in Łódź
On Tuesday, March 4, after the conclusion of the auditions of the first stage, the jury of the III International Organ Competition named after Jan Kucharski, working under the direction of Prof. Ludger Lohmann, announced the list of finalists.
Among 25 participants of the competition, six participants qualified for the second stage: an organist from South Korea and five Polish artists. They are listed in alphabetical order: Hyoju Ahn Dawid DÅugosz RadosÅaw Kuliberda PrzemysÅaw Åesak Tomasz Soczek Tomasz Zebura
On the day of the auditions â each finalist has a scheduled 2-hour rehearsal on the organ at the Evangelical-Augsburg Church of St. Matthew in Åódź, where the final auditions will take place. On Thursday, March 6, the finalists will perform in the following order as part of the final of the competition:

Each of them will play three pieces in the final, including one free choice piece and two mandatory ones: the Fantasy on the choral Hallelujah, Gott zu loben op. 52 no. 3 by Max Reger and the Toccata in B minor from Pièces de Fantaisie op. 53 by Louis Vierne.
Also on Thursday at 5:00 PM at the Church of St. Matthew, the results of the competition will be announced, and at 6:00 PM â the award ceremony and concert of the laureates. Admission is free for the final auditions and concert (ul. Piotrkowska 283).
