KROPKA+KRESKA Festival: 'SenJawaZabawa' | family concert Date: December 1, 2024 (Sunday) Time: 18:00 Venue: Stage, building C, ground floor, Fabryka Sztuki in ĄÃ³dź, ul. Tymienieckiego 3 Age of participants: no age restrictions Duration: 60 minutes Tickets: 30 PLN per person Number of places: 150 people What is a dream? Is it a transition to another state and back from it? Where does our spirit wander, where does it go for a walk when we sleep? Where does reality mix with dreams? Where what is impossible becomes true? Where it is unknown what is real and what is imagination? A dream is like a journey, from which we bring back new experiences and gifts. What do we return with from this journey? A lullaby is a song of the moment of transition, from sleep to wakefulness and from wakefulness to sleep. This 'between' is the world of children - one foot is on the ground, and the other, who knows where... This world has remained in musical tradition, and the most important in it, just like for a child the voice of the mother - is singing. Based on ancient lullabies and words of archaic children's games, the concert's authors take us on a musical, multidimensional journey through the land of dreams. They wander from the moment of falling asleep to the moment of waking up, from Poland through Africa to the Solomon Islands, from original sources of texts and melodies to a minimalist, trance audio sphere of the state of transition. Utilizing an extraordinary, rich instrumentation, which includes Polish folk instruments, as well as unique items such as the polyphon, metallophone, or everyday objects, they emphasize the importance of singing, a voice that is the undeniable guide here. The performances are accompanied by a projection of century-old portrait photographs depicting children and toys, and kaleidoscopic collages created from them.
