'Lies' is an amazing and penetrating, yet, horror of horrors, funny study of... lies. Florian Zeller, the French playwright, has already accustomed his audience to sharp rides and painful telemarks, moving with the grace of a ballerina and the precision of a surgeon through the meanders and corners of the human mind. Two married couples, two pairs of friends, two pairs of lovers, and still only four of them, how is that possible? The author knows quite a bit about male-female relationships. Who could say, and who does not know? He, however, skillfully and provocatively translated this into words... Words that cut. Like a razor. And the sinking?... Well, exactly. Metaphorically, it succeeded here to combine Bergman’s 'Scenes from a Marriage' with several comedies by Woody Allen. Of course, the play is not merely a verbal acrobatics, but contains a rational yet philosophical subtext.

The director of the performance, Wojciech Malajkat, recently said: 'We worked long on the cast; this play requires deliberate and outstanding actors who can extract the nuances contained in the text, amusing the audience with charm and, paradoxically, teach them something about lies.'
