MARTYNA PASTUSZKA
Martyna Pastuszka received traditional education in modern violin and completed her master's studies in the class of Professor Roland Orlik at the Music Academy in Katowice. However, already in the early stages of her studies, she noticed the interpretative potential of historical performance and began learning to play the baroque violin. Shortly thereafter, she started participating in artistic projects of the Arte dei Suonatori orchestra. Since then, the artistic personality of the young violinist has been shaped by artists with whom she has collaborated: Peter Holman, Barthold Kuijken, Martin Gester, Kati Debretzeni, Hidemi Suzuki, Rachel Podger, Eduardo Lopez Banzo, Herve Niquet. As an orchestral musician and chamber player, she has worked for years with numerous early music orchestras in Europe, including: New Dutch Academy, Holland Baroque Society, Musica Antiqua Provence, Harmonologia, Le Concert Lorrain. Currently, in her artistic activity, Martyna Pastuszka combines the roles of soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. With care for expressiveness and precision, she shapes her playing style, whose main priorities are rhetoric, communicativeness, and clarity of agogic structures. In Poland, she collaborates with the Arte dei Suonatori orchestra, the WrocÅaw Baroque Orchestra, and in France, with the Parisian orchestra Le Cercle de l'Harmonie, and since 2009, she has served as concertmaster and soloist of the Strasbourg orchestra Le Parlement de Musique under the direction of Martin Gester. With these ensembles, she has made numerous recordings for Polish Radio and Television, Radio France, Arte, Mezzo, and many of the recorded CDs and DVDs have received accolades from the music press and have been enthusiastically received by international music critics. Together with the ensemble Parnassos, which she founded in 2000, Martyna Pastuszka realizes her own artistic programs and projects. On historical instruments, she performs not only baroque music but also classical and romantic repertoire. Since 2007, she has been leading a baroque violin class at the Music Academy in Katowice.
