Announcement of the concert series 'Fryderyk Chopin at Willa Lentza. All Works'
On Friday, December 15, 2023 at 7:00 PM, a recital by Andrzej Wierciński will take place at Willa Lentza in Szczecin.
Andrzej Wierciński is an outstanding young Polish pianist. He graduated from the Academy of Music in Katowice and also studied at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg. He is a member of the Penderecki Trio, along with Mateusz Makuch (violin) and Claudio Bohórquez (cello). He participated in the XVIII International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition (2021) and has received numerous awards, including first place in the National Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2015), first place in the International Piano Competition in Saint-Priest (2019), third prize at the International Piano Competition in Hong Kong (2019), Gold Medal at the First International Music Competition in Vienna (2019), Grand Prize at the Red Maple Music Competition in Toronto (2022).
The recital by the outstanding musician is a preview of the concert series 'Fryderyk Chopin at Willa Lentza. All Works'. The event, organized by the cultural institution Willa Lentza in Szczecin, will begin in January 2024. Concert participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the entire creative output of Fryderyk Chopin and listen to outstanding artists from Poland and abroad.
The highlights of the 'Fryderyk Chopin at Willa Lentza. All Works' series will be two events - on August 1, 2024, a concert commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising will take place, and in October 2024, a concert commemorating the 175th anniversary of the composer's death will be held, referencing the XIX International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw.
