Bartosz Koziak is the winner of the III International Cello Competition named after Witold LutosÅawski in 2001 in Warsaw, a recipient of second prizes at the competitions in Tongyeong 'Isang Yun in Memoriam' (Korea) and in Kyiv named after Mykola Lysenko, a laureate and recipient of a special prize at the Prague Spring competition, and the first prize winner at the XI International Contemporary Chamber Music Competition in Krakow; he also received similar awards at the P. Tchaikovsky Competitions in Moscow and ARD in Munich.
In 2003, he received a special award from the Polish Culture Foundation awarded by Ewa PodleÅ.
As a soloist, he has collaborated with orchestras such as the National Philharmonic, NOSPR, Sinfonia Varsovia, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo, Münchener Kammerorchester, Prague Philharmonic, and Radio Orchestras in Warsaw and Budapest under the direction of Krzysztof Penderecki, Jan Krenz, Antoni Wit, Gabriela Chmura, Jacek Kaspszyk, and Massimiliano Caldi.
Since 2007, he has been playing in a trio with violinist Kaja Danczowska and pianist Justyna Danczowska.
He is invited to renowned festivals including the Warsaw Autumn, Young Euro Classic in Berlin, the Easter Festival named after L. van Beethoven, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Musica Polonica Nova, the Music Festival in ÅaÅcut, and Chopin and his Europe in Warsaw.
For several years, he has been regularly invited to participate in concert projects by Krzysztof Penderecki. He took part in the first recording of the album 'Concerto grosso' under the direction of the Composer.
Thanks to the kindness of Kaja Danczowska, he plays on a 19th-century copy of the instrument by J. Guadagnini, on which the outstanding Polish cellist Dezyderiusz Danczowski performed.
