Born in Fukuoka, Japan. After completing her studies in Tokyo, she moved to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris, where she graduated with honors. She is a laureate of many international competitions, including the 1st prize at 'Lutèce' and 'Gaston Crunelle' in Paris, as well as 'Jeunesse Musical' in Bucharest. She also received the 2nd prize at the 'Maria Canals' competition in Barcelona, 'Le Sprendel' in Tokyo, and at the International Chamber Music Competition 'Caltanisetta' in Italy. Atsuko Koga has performed as a soloist with, among others: the Toho Philharmonic in Tokyo, the Kyushu Philharmonic in Fukuoka, the Orchestre de CNSM de Paris, the Orchestre de Flute de Paris, and the Philharmonie Jeunesse in Bucharest; as well as with orchestras in Germany, including the Villa Musica Ensemble, Hofer Symphoniker, Staatskapelle Weimar, Magdeburgische Philharmonie, Kammerphilharmonie der Ascania, and annually with the Rossini Quartet. Atsuko Koga has been invited to numerous music festivals, and her concerts have been documented for radio and television in Japan, the USA, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, and Morocco.
