ØRGANEK - a group formed in 2013 at the initiative of its leader, author of lyrics and music, Tomasz Organek, a laureate of many prestigious awards, including the Mateusz Trójki, the Artistic Award of the City of Toruń named after Grzegorz Ciechowski, the Marshal of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship Award, the ZAiKS Authors Association Award, and the High Heels Superhero of the Year Award. Tomasz Organek is also an Honorary Ambassador of the Nicolaus Copernicus University. In 2019, he debuted as a prose writer with the bestseller novel 'Theory of Overcoming Fear'. In 2022, he was recognized by Newsweek magazine as one of the 100 most influential Poles in the pop culture category. In the same year, he represented Poland at EXPO 2020 in Dubai. To date, the band has released four studio albums:
• Głupi (2014) - nominated for the Fryderyk 2015 in the category of Rock Album of the Year
• Czarna Madonna (2016) - three Fryderyk statuettes in 2017 in the categories: Rock Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Music Production of the Year
Both albums achieved platinum status. For two years (2016 - 2017), the band was the backbone of the Men's Granie Orchestra and co-authored two concert albums of MGO, which also achieved platinum status. The musical director of both editions was Tomasz Organek. In 2021, the band released two more albums nominated for the Fryderyk 2022:
• Ocali Nas Miłość (2021) - on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. Nominated for the Fryderyk 2022 in the category of Album of the Year, Poetic and Literary Song
• Na razie stoję, na razie patrzę (2021) - nominated for the Fryderyk 2022 in the category of Rock/Metal Album of the Year
The band consists of: Tomasz Organek (guitar, vocals), Adam Staszewski (bass), Tomasz Lewandowski (keyboards), Robert Markiewicz (drums). The band has played hundreds of concerts in Poland and abroad (Lithuania, France, England, Scotland, Ireland, Switzerland, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Norway, the Czech Republic) enjoying great interest from the audience and millions of views of their music videos. ØRGANEK is a regular at the largest Polish festivals (including Woodstock / Pol'and'Rock Festival, Jarocin Festival, Open'er Festival, Orange Festival, Men's Granie, European Stadium of Culture, CJG Festival, Sopot Top of the Top Festival, Kazimiernikejszyn, Green Festival, and many others). In 2022, the band supported KINGS OF LEON during a concert in Wrocław.
Organek is undoubtedly one of the most interesting Polish artists currently active in the market. He is a co-founder of the band SOFA, with which he recorded three studio albums until 2012, and also received an award from the Polish phonographic industry (Fryderyk in the category of New Face of Phonography). Since 2013, he has been creating under the project ORGANEK. In 2014 and 2015, he performed at concerts in the Men's Granie series, and also played at the Orange Warsaw Festival 2014.
